Our premium ponzu is made with natural sudachi juice imported from Japan. The ponzu is a perfect match for steak and BBQ, but it can also be used as an alternative to regular soy sauce for almost any dish and is gluten free.
Sudachi is a traditional Japanese citrus fruit grown in the Tokushima prefecture, the western part of Japan. The Sudachi tree has white flowers that bloom from May to June and its fruit ripens from August through October. The Ponzu is picked when the skin is yet green and turns yellow when ripe. Sudachi is a citrus that is related closely to the yuzu and kabosu. It contains more vitamin C than lemon and has a refreshing citrus flavor and acidity.
