Directions

Cooking directions:

Add 1 package (9.5 oz.) Wel-Pac Japanese somen noodles to 6 quarts boiling water. Return to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered, 2 to 3 minutes, or until cooked to desired tenderness. Drain. Rinse with cold water to cool; drain well.

To serve hot: heat cold noodles by plunging into boiling water 1 minute; drain. Divide noodles into serving bowls. Mix 1 part Kikkoman Memmi (soup base for noodles) with 12 parts hot water; pour over noodles. Sprinkle with finely chopped green onions & tops, as desired. Or, top with tempura, cooked beef, pork or chicken slices and pieces of cooked vegetables.

To serve cold: dip noodles into a sauce prepared with 1 part Kikkoman memmi mixed with 5 parts cold water.
